Board, Committees, or Subcommittees (NALA Membership + CP or ACP required):

CP® EXAM DEVELOPMENT EXPECTATIONS(Required)
• A two-year term
• Participate in mandatory training
• Restricted for two years after the conclusion of the term in creating or delivering CP® prep materials

Eligibility - Qualifications
• A CP® or ACP® in good standing for at least three years, or
• J.D. with at least five years of experience as a practicing attorney

All volunteers must be willing to relinquish/avoid involvement in the creation, development, or delivery of CP® Exam study materials during your term with the panel and for two years after the conclusion of the term.

Ineligibility
Individuals currently incarcerated for any felony offense or on probation, parole, or other court-imposed supervision for a felony offense are ineligible to apply for the exam development positions.

Confidentiality
An individual’s application status, results, and personal identifying information is confidential and will not be released by NALA to any person without the consent of the individual or as required by law.

I hereby declare that the above information is complete and truthful. I further pledge not to divulge the contents of any confidential information for the Certified Paralegal Exam by NALA, Inc., and agree to be bound by the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility of NALA, Inc. Additionally, I understand that I am restricted from creating, developing, or delivering CP® Exam prep materials for a period of no less than two years following my term of service. Inasmuch as it is and ever will be impracticable and extremely difficult to determine the actual damages resulting to NALA, Inc., should I divulge the contents of any confidential information, I agree to pay NALA, Inc., as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, the sum of $1,000 for each breach of my agreement not to divulge the contents of any confidential information.

I further understand that the agreement may be suspended or revoked and that I may be prohibited from volunteering for any further NALA positions if it is determined that I have engaged in behavior that violates this agreement or the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility or otherwise causes me not to be in good standing as a Certified Paralegal.

I understand that my service as an exam development volunteer could be suspended or terminated for any of the following:


1. Falsification of information on the application form
2. Subsequent conviction of the unauthorized practice of law
3. Divulging the contents of any examination questions
4. Subsequent conviction of a felony
5. Violation of the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility
6. Violation of the Confidentiality & Non-Competition Agreement
7. Engaging in any other conduct determined by the Certifying Board to be unethical or unprofessional
