This session will assist those in taking the Certified Paralegal (“CP”) Exam review for the professional ethical responsibility component of the knowledge portion of the CP Exam. This session will focus on the following:

  1. ethical responsibilities centering on performance of delegated work
  2. paralegal professional responsibility
  3. professional relationships
  4. client and public contract and
  5. the attorney code of ethics and discipline

Upon completion of this session, attendees will understand their ethical and professional responsibilities in and outside of the work place.  Attendees will be able to understand the key ethical principles and rules affecting paralegals, including those involving the unauthorized practice of law, client confidentiality and conflicts of interest, and the utilization of paralegals.
