Legal practitioners are subject to expanding client expectations like never before. Clients now require more than just substantive legal knowledge for their legal matter. They also want law firms to show business savvy and to make sure legal services are provided in a reasonably predictable, cost efficient, and consistent manner. Legal project management helps paralegals manage legal matters more efficiently by putting forward a more proactive (not reactive) approach to managing legal matters. This is accomplished through effective planning, cost control, resource allocation and risk management.  Legal project management brings the same principles and best practices used by other business models into the realm of legal service delivery, with key refinements to complement the nature of our work. This webinar will give a brief history of legal project management, discuss best practices for the application of legal project management and provide necessary tools for implementing legal project management in the law firm or law department setting.
