This on-demand webinar is designed as both a refresher of the basics of the 4th amendment protections and exceptions as well as a comprehensive discussion of various 4th amendment and related issues.  It will begin with a historical overview of the events that not only gave rise to the amendment, but also, continue to serve as the amendments’ present day foundation.   The amendment itself will be dissected and explained beginning with the more technical standpoints of obtaining and execution of search, seizure and arrest warrants followed by a more legal analysis of reasonable vs unreasonable warrantless searches/seizures.  In addition, this on-demand webinar will review a multitude of exceptions that the Supreme Court has carved into the 4th amendment including discussion of the major cases that created these exceptions.   It will also examine the most recent Supreme Court decisions that have changed the landscape of search and seizure analysis.  Finally, the on-demand webinar will explain the remedies available to the court in instances of Fourth Amendment violations by police or other government officials.
