The IRS Collection Division has never been busier. With the IRS’s ability to match third party-data and locate non-filers, the number of taxpayers scrambling for professional help has exploded with more than 13 million taxpayer accounts in the Collection Division inventory, the opportunity for attorneys and law firms to build and grow this area of their practice. This program with national speaker Eric Green will explain what law firms and paralegals can do to add this administrative practice to their current business model and make money while helping taxpayers sort out their issues. Learn about the IRS Collection process, the mechanics of IRS enforcement (tax liens and tax levies) and about how to help your clients resolve their tax problems, including installment agreements, uncollectable status, offers-in-compromise and bankruptcy.

Attorney Eric Green teaches attorneys and accountants all over the country how to handle IRS Collection cases like a pro for the American Bar Association’s Tax Section, CCH, and other organizations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and former Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Tax Section. He is the creator of the CCH IRS Representation Certificate Program and the founder of Tax Rep LLC, which is a coaching program for new practitioners.

Listening to Eric you will learn the following:

  • How the IRS Collection process works
  • The mechanics of the IRS enforcement tools (tax liens and tax levies)
