This session will discuss the different types of corporate structures, including corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships, from the standpoint of what they are, how each are legally formed, the advantages and disadvantages of each. The session covers topics such as business planning, corporate governance and maintenance, fiduciary duties of sole proprietors, members, and shareholders and their liability and rights. 

  1. Gain an understanding of the various types of business organization.   
  2. Understand how to form and maintain each organization.
  3. Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each structure from a formation and maintenance standpoint.
  4. Understand each structure from a tax perspective.
