The goal of this session is to help paralegals understand what they should know about crime scene investigation. This session will cover the basics of crime scene investigation, including the following: how to establish and secure the crime perimeter; how to determine what type of crime occurred; how to conduct the primary survey to identify any potential evidence; how to document and process the crime scene and how to conduct any secondary survey; and lastly, how to record and preserve any evidence.
