What you'll do on a typical day

  • Work on sensitive compliance and legal projects with attorneys, paralegals and other professionals; support the process for engaging outside counsel and other legal service providers
  • Assist with case/project management, filing and litigation-related document management; maintain and organize paper and electronic files, data tracking logs, etc., for ongoing legal and compliance matters
  • Organize and prepare reports on departmental metrics and strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including arranging technical support, catering, meeting materials and other logistics
  • Prepare check requests and partner with accounts payable department to ensure settlements and invoices are processed in a timely manner
  • Review and edit legal documents for content and grammar; build high-level presentations, communications and documents
  • Plan and arrange domestic and international travel itineraries and accommodations, including coordinating visas and passports
  • Process expense reports in an accurate and timely manner; resolve issues as needed
Requirements or Qualifications: 

What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 2 or more years of experience in a legal administrative or legal assistant role
  • Experience building and maintaining a legal filing and case management system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Aspirations to further pursue a career in the legal field, i.e., obtain your paralegal certificate or attend law school
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality surrounding company materials and information
  • An eye for detail, meticulous grammar and tons of creativity
  • Highly-organized work style with an extraordinary ability to multitask 
  • A "no job is too big or too small" attitude; excellent interpersonal skills
