REPORTS TO:  Director of Contracting, Vaniam Group LLC
CONTRACTOR HOURS:  30-40 hours weekly
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Non-employee, Independent Contractor
LOCATION:  Virtual office environment, work from home

COMPANY SUMMARY:
Vaniam Group LLC is a network of healthcare communications agencies focused on providing medical communication solutions and strategic consulting services to pharmaceutical/biotechnology clients.

CONTRACTOR REQUISITION SUMMARY:
This Contractor will work in a project team environment.  Internally, the individual will work most closely with the account and client services teams but will interface directly with multiple functional areas, such as operations (including logistics and finance).  Externally, the individual will be a liaison with external vendors, healthcare providers, and clients (among others). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assigned work includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Becoming proficient in managing the client-specific consulting agreement process which includes but is not limited to: assisting in assessing FMV (fair market value) for attendees based upon CV and client guidelines, merging attendee-specific consulting agreements, liaising between the attendee and client contracts department throughout the redline process, ensuring contracts are fully executed prior to start of meeting, preparing and sending final versions according to client-specific procedures, documenting final documents in Vaniam files, and working with internal partners to ensure all payments are processed correctly and timely
  • Ensuring all appropriate financial documents are received, up-to-date and filed appropriately
  • Participating in client-specific training and establishing relationships with key contacts within client contracts department
  • Managing and maintaining databases and electronic filing systems both internally and for client-based projects

Requirements or Qualifications: 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:
 
EDUCATION:

  • Minimum: Paralegal Associates Degree, accredited Paralegal Certification or minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 3 years’ experience or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal if contractor does not have a Paralegal Associates Degree or accredited Paralegal Certification
  • Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, familiarity with Egnyte and Go to Meeting (or similar systems) preferred
  • Prior agency or pharmaceutical work experience preferred
