Our Columbia office has a unique opportunity for an immigration paralegal to join one of the firm’s growing immigration practice groups! The immigration practice group employs over 73 immigration attorneys and over 124 support staff. Equal Opportunity Employer. Summary of Position: Preparation and filing of petitions, H-1B visa applications and labor certification applications in addition to L-1 intracompany transfer petitions. Compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation. Maintains direct contact with multiple attorneys. Responsibilities: Prepares documents to assist attorneys with matters. Reviews complex legal documents. Compile and analyze case facts. Determine and calendar deadlines. Communicate with clients and visa beneficiaries as needed.
Requirements or Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Immigration experience is preferred. International exposure a plus. Paralegal experience is preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Expertise in Lexis, WestLaw, Live Note, Concordance, Case Map, Docketing, and Document Management Systems. Experience with expense and billing systems a plus.
