Candidate for the office of Treasurer: Michele T. Pfeiffer, ACP
Question: What are three values you think you demonstrate as a leader? Take each trait and explain how that value would add benefit to your service on the NALA Board.
The values I believe to be important are to see the bigger picture of an organization, dedication to your mission, and passion that drives you.
For an organization to grow, it is bigger than oneself. I listen to our members’ suggestions and share those with the board. Though the board sets guidelines for us to adhere to so we have purpose and meaning, I help work within our budgets and procedures to provide the best services possible for our members, vendors, sponsors, and staff.
This follows my dedication to NALA’s mission of advancing paralegals through certification and professional development. I support our certification, continuing education, and professional development boards to provide amazing speakers with hot topics for our conferences and ongoing CLE webinars. I’ve sought out authors for our newsletter and vendors and sponsors to provide resources or discounts where available.
Finally, if you know me, you know how passionate I am about advancing the paralegal profession from the ground floor up. I mentor to students, served on local, state, and national boards to ensure that all NALA members are getting the resources, up to date information, and even legislation that supports our careers no matter what path they choose.
