My name is Rob Heusser, and I have just relocated to New Orleans to live with my wife who took a great job here in town. I've recently graduated with an AAS in Paralegal Studies and earned my CLA/CP last year. I have very little practical experience as a paralegal, but have worked in banking legal operations with Wells Fargo Bank since 2006. Many of my job duties are that which entry level paralegals do, and I am eager to begin developing my skills. While the title has eluded me, I am ready to provide high quality paralegal services for a law firm, and most importantly its clients. My resume and cover letter along with a writing sample are attached for quick reference. I would be most appreciative to anyone who may have feedback or ideas that may help me realize my goal to prosper in this beautiful city.

Congratulations Rob on attaining CLA/CP status and relocating to one of the really special cities in America! There are a number of outstanding paralegal organizations in your area and if you haven't already visited one of the meetings I would highly recommend it. Networking is key to finding jobs and making valuable contacts, some of whom might become lifelong friends. You should be able to use the guide in the back of the Facts & Findings for officers of local affiliates but if you need more information don't hesitate to contact NALA HQ. The newly elected NALA President (who will take office at the annual meeting this July), Karen G. McGee, is a Louisiana native and has guided the region in paralegal pursuits for years. Best of luck! Elizabeth H. Nellis, ACP, Director Region 4
