Through my experience at Seminole Community College I learned of your practice. I would like to apply for the position of Paralegal/ Legal Assistant in your firm. My background and education make me an excellent candidate for this opportunity.
Upon completing my undergraduate degree in history and political science from West Virginia Wesleyan College and moving to Florida, I enrolled in Seminole Community College’s Associate Science degree for paralegals. The combination of these three degrees provides me with a strong background in the legal and political arenas, which will help me be a strong asset in any law firm.
Although school has been my focus over the past several years, I am now willing to redirect all my time and energy toward the needs of an employer. I am willing to take an internship to gain experience with the possibility of leading to future employment. My interest in becoming involved in a personal injury, Criminal, Family Law, or real property practice aligns me with the type of law your firm practices.
I am proficient in using all of the Microsoft office applications along with Westlaw and the free legal research websites (i.e., www.lawcornel.edu, www.findlaw.com, etc.). My education has provided me with experience in preparing legal documents and an understanding in Florida and Federal Law.
