The Advanced Paralegal Certification program is administered by a board of volunteer subject matter experts who are certified paralegals, paralegal educators, and paralegal employers. The board consults with experts in training and writing to ensure a quality certification course.

The Advanced Paralegal Certification Board is also responsible for administering rules and regulations of the program.

The Chair of the Advanced Paralegal Certification Board is a voting member of the NALA Board of Directors.
